Based in Hong Kong, their English skill is top notch compared to the broken English I usually encounter in this business.

SERVICE QUALITY:

From my experience, contacting their customer service is like a walk in the park. I received a support email within a few minutes after contacting them which was great. Besides efficiently addressing my question, the support was right on the spot. I didn’t need to recontact them with follow up questions.

Purchasing your EVE ISK is a breeze and straight forward. Koala Credits ask for only your e-mail address and telephone number, which are essential as Koala Credits use it to contact customers for both verification and delivery. MOGS Review

OVERVIEW:

MOGS is a virtual currency seller, based in Cleveland Ohio, USA. It has been serving the market since 2004. It is a relatively small shop, and seems to consistently priced their goods above market average. Mogs does not offer ‘instant delivery’ but has been able to keep their delivery time under 48-72 hours. Only on a small number of occasions does the seller take longer to deliver the gold. They claim on their website, however, that they have been able to keep delivery time under 12 hours for the vast majority of their orders.

SERVICE QUALITY:

Checkout process are done in 4 steps, the first of which involves providing name, address and phone number. This information, as MOGS says, is to be used for fraud screening. Returning customers bypass this step though. After these details are given, you are automatically registered an account on MOGS. Next on is providing character name, delivery instructions, and selection of payment method. MOGS has only recently added MoneyBookers payment in addition to PayPal. After you pay, you have to pass through fraud screening. The verification process includes a phone call, so be sure to enter a valid phone number. By and large, the process is smooth although a bit lengthy.

The chat queue can be somewhat long and annoying, but the support staffs are friendly and speak perfect English. They are polite and knowledgeable enough. They are not online 24/7 as stated on the website though.

PRICE:

If you are looking for cheaps, go elsewhere. MOGS sells their ISK at above-average prices.

DELIVERY SPEED:

MOGS delivery time is not the fastest, but you get what you pay for. So it’s legit, I would say. They gave me a call when my order was ready. But it was almost midnight at the time, so I was not super impressed. The caller is clearly a native English speaker, which is assuring to know– not least because being a native English speaker is more superior, but because who would want to buy stuffs from people you can’t communicate with?! So I was asked to login to trade the ISK. The delivery was completed in about two days.

UPDATE (8/26/10)

Apparently MOGS bought stolen ISK and resold it. So the ISK I bought from them were confiscated and my account left with a negative balance by CCP. I guess it can’t be help. Eventually if you are a gamer who bends the rules, you can get punished for it. But MOGS needs to be more careful about where they get their ISK from.

VERDICT:

It’s a fairly good shop. But I would be a bit hesitant to buy from them again given recent bad experience. Although it’s fair to believe that you can’t always blame the gold seller for everything that goes wrong since you are also guilty of cheating, if I need ISK again, I will probably be trying better rated shops than MOGS before I decide to settle with one.

IGE Review

OVERVIEW:

IGE, founded in 2002, has been the industry leader since the early years of ingame currency trading.

SERVICE QUALITY:

IGE is pretty much straight forward with their purchasing process. The web is simplistic and navigation is fool-proof for buying ISK. Upon checkout you will be contacted by IGE through a phone call if your order is large. This fraud prevention may be annoying for many, but its a way to keep them away from fraudsters.

Customer service was never the best, but I have seen improvement over the past years. Live chat responses are averaging around a  minute or so. Not the friendliest customer service, but they get the job done to deliver your EVE ISK to you.

PRICE:

Prices for ISK are average among the EVE ISK shops. Not the cheapest, but neither the most expensive. I would say IGE has reasonable prices that are worth looking into.

DELIVERY SPEED:

The claim is within 24 hours, but from my experience small orders take anywhere around 1 hour to 12 hours. Large orders definitely exceed their claim of 24 hours, which is understandable. First purchase can be a hassle with the strict fraud protection that needs a land-line phone number to be tie to the credit card billing address. If you don’t then, you will get refunded and you will realise that you need to checkout again with the correct number. So don’t expect lighting delivery for your EVE ISK, especially for first time purchases.

VERDICT:

IGE is a solid choice to buy your EVE ISK as they are safe and a consistent ISK seller. Their 24/7 customer service is reachable through email and the live chat, but otherwise there is no way of contacting them. Place your bets on them. An average seller with acceptable services.

Okay, shortly after I first became a Rookie flying my Gallente Velator in the EVE universe I started looking for EVE ISK tips. I was frustrated at the difficulty of farming the game currency, EVE ISK. I wanted to advance.
